  1. Regarding the statement “Children with high intellectual capacities have trouble socializing with classmates”, we consider it to be a rather controversial issue, since after consulting different researches we have realized that the results are very diverse.

On the one hand, according to the research carried out in the text “Behavioral andSocio-Emotional Disorders in Intellectual Giftedness: A Systematic Review” by Ilaria Tasca, Michelle Guidi, Patrizia Turriziani, Giovanni Mento and Vicenza Tarantino; We can conclude that there is not enough information in research on the subject in question, however, the small samples that have been analyzed (in most cases N=12) it can be seen that people with high intellectual abilities do have greater difficulties when socializing. specifically with his teammates.

However, in two of these explorations, the results obtained did not reveal a relationship between being gifted and having socialization problems, so we cannot categorically affirm this relationship.

So, we would like to specify, taking into account the contributions made by Neihart, Pfeiffer and Cross in the text “The Social and EmotionalDevelopment of High-Gifted Students”, that both the context and the culture in which gifted children socialize is very important.
Based on this, the school considers it necessary to use the results of there search carried out to direct and program educational support programs for people with high abilities.

Therefore, we must question our educational practice and our role when we set out to alleviate the emotional and social deficits that these children may present.
