Its creator in 1969 (Althusser) already acknowledged that he was writing on the basis of books he had not read. Bourdieu, its best known representative, for his 1970 book entitled “The Reproduction”, abandoned in the 1980s the defense of this model. The analyses with the greatest scientific impact make it clear that quality education is the best (and often the only) way for girls and boys from low socioeconomic levels to escape poverty.
