SIS Platforms are non-populist participatory platforms, available to all citizens, both to consult and to contribute. They aim to provide citizens with a science-based participatory tool to help them distinguish between science-based claims and gender and education hoaxes. They are based on the principle of citizen participation in science and are therefore built on a co-creation approach that brings together not only researchers and practitioners, but all citizens. These participatory platforms are committed to promoting an egalitarian dialogue based on validity claims about education and gender and to sharing scientific evidence with all citizens. Thus, they are open access platforms available for everyone. Thus, SIS Platforms are Open Access platforms available to everyone. Any citizen who wants to participate will be able to sign in and contribute. Participation will be totally voluntary.<\/p>\n
SIS Platforms arise from the H2020 ALLINTERACT project, “Widening and diversifying citizen engagement in science.” ALLINTERACT generates new knowledge on how citizen participation in educational research increases awareness on improving education and gender, promoting collaboration between science and society. There are two participatory platforms: Adhyayana, focused on scientific evidence in education; and Sappho, focused on scientific evidence in gender.<\/p>\n
Adhyayana <\/i>in Sanskrit means learning and teaching<\/i>. This is what this platform does, and what is symbolized in the picture: the dialogue between the human Vyasa and the divinity Ganesha writing the Mahabharata.<\/p>\n
SAPPHO<\/i> was a pioneer in gender equality. She founded the first girls\u2019 school that is known. She was the first author to contribute to the creation of lyrical poetry, focused on feelings, while her contemporary male poets focused on epic poetry. Sappho also broke down stereotypes: she did not accept to be framed in one of both sides of patriarchal double standards, and\u00a0 was able to fit her cultural activity with an intense love life beyond the limits that society tried to impose.<\/p>\nADHYAYANA Team<\/b><\/h2>\n
